IN ASTRONOMY

NEW VISTAS 2021

For 50 years, Whipple Observatory has celebrated cutting edge research in astrophysics during our annual New Vistas in Astronomy lecture series. From our roots in the old schoolhouse in Amado to the auditorium at the Green Valley Rec Center West, we have remained dedicated to bringing you the Universe. This year, the 51st annual New Vistas in Astronomy series has broadened our horizons: going all-virtual for the very first time, the series launches to a global audience, and welcomes speakers from projects throughout the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, including those in Hawai'i, Massachusetts, and the South Telescope.

All lectures in the series are free and open to the public, playing at 10:00am Arizona Time
